*Action Required! - Ski NS 2023 Canada Winter Games - Registration Process & CCES Module - January 30th Deadline

Please take a moment to read carefully the important details below for all athelets who are eligible for the Ski NS 2023 CWG team, as provided by Ski NS.

There are two very important tasks that must completed by 12pm on January 30^th. To be eligible for the Ski NS Canada Winter Games Team, everyone will have to complete the instructions below. The Ski NS team won’t be picked until after these requirements are completed.

Each member of the 2023 Ski NS Canada Winter Games Team (Athletes (including alternates) & Coaches) must complete their own registration in the GEMS database.

Prior to beginning registration, we have a few tips to ensure your registration process is smooth:

• Registration is mandatory and required to attend the games and receive your accreditation.
• You will need your personal details, address, contact information, email.
• You will be required to upload a picture; this needs to be to the standard. For ease, we have included a PDF that clearly shows the correct way to take the photo. The photo can be taken with your phone or digital camera.
• Be sure to complete the registration as completely as possible to ensure important information is available, especially health information, dietary needs.
• Parents of athletes under 18 will need to provide a consent within the registration system.

Each member of the 2023 Ski NS Canada Winter Games Team Athletes (including alternates) & Coaches) must complete the anti-doping educational module provided by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES).

Online education for the PEI 2023 Canada Games is now available!

As part of our commitment to clean sport, all athletes and support personnel attending the 2023 Canada Games must complete anti-doping education provided by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES). 

Use the attached PDF invitation to sign up for an account in the CCES online learning portal and complete a course in the True Sport Clean series!

• New users 17 and older will complete True Sport Clean 2023. 
• New users 16 and younger will complete True Sport Clean: Next Gen. 
• Returning users who completed a course last year (2022) are strongly encouraged to complete The 2023 True Sport Clean Review. This will already be available on your Dashboard if you’re eligible. 
• Coaches, managers, technical support, and mission staff will additionally complete The Role of Athlete Support Personnel. 

When you sign up, you will first create a password and enter your date of birth. Once logged in, you will complete the Profile module before receiving your courses. This step is important to make sure you’re associated with your team. 

• Choose your province or territory carefully. If you’re competing for Team Alberta, for example, choose Alberta. 
• On the Major Games screen, select PEI 2023 Canada Winter Games. 

If you have already completed a 2023 course, you have fulfilled your education requirement and do not need to do the course again! Simply launch the Profile to make sure that your Province/Territory and Major Games are listed correctly.
