Weekend Prep: We’re Back in Action!

Did you do a happy dance yesterday? If you answered yes, you weren’t alone.
We are thrilled to learn that many of the travel and sport restrictions have ended, effective today at 8am.
Thank you to all the WSRC members who have pivoted with us this season to ensure the health and safety of our athletes, our coaches, and our communities. We know the results of the past week’s COVID-19 testing efforts could have been very different - as we have seen in other provinces - and we are immensely grateful that they weren’t.
We look forward to seeing everyone back on the slopes this week!!
To ensure that we are able to enjoy every day of the remainder of this season, please be sure that you and your athletes:
- Wear masks and face coverings at all times on the property, except when skiing
- Observe social distancing
- Complete the TeamSnap health assessment every day
- Stay home if you:
- Experienced symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 48 hours
- Travelled outside of Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island in the previous 14 days
- Had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
- Had a COVID-19 test and have not yet received the results

E.M. Byrne Memorial Race - Friday, March 12th!
Open to U12 and U14 athletes.
Featuring GS in the AM, Slalom in the PM
Registration Deadline: Sunday, March 7th

Slingshot Race - Sunday March 21st!
Open to all U8-U12 WSRC athletes and interested athletes from Martock Ski Race Club, this race promises to be loads of fun. There is no additional cost for WSRC athletes to participate.
Normally only come on Saturdays? No problem. The Slingshot is for you too.
All athletes must register in advance so we can confirm numbers.

Entry Level Coach Course @ Ski Wentworth:
Online Modules March 14th & 16th
On-Snow March 20th & 21st
Start the path towards coaching. This course will cover:
- Making Ethical Decisions (MED) Online Module – March 14th 6-10pm via Zoom
- Plan a Practice Online Module & Tech Presentation Online Module – March 16th, 6pm-10pm via Zoom
- On Snow Day 1: March 20th 9am - 6pm @ Ski Wentworth
- On Snow Day 2: March 21st 9am - 6pm @ Ski Wentworth
Cost: $385
Facilitators: Joey-Lynn Graham & Dave Bugden
Prerequisites: To enroll in an Entry Level course, you must be 16 years of age on the first day of the course.
