Planning for the Weather

We have our fingers and toes crossed that any forecasted rain will be minimal but please check the Ski Wentworth website to confirm that the hill is open before you arrive (particularly on Sunday). Our programs will run as long as the hill is open. While we will endeavour to send timely updates on WhatsApp, any news regarding closures will appear on the Ski Wentworth site first.

U12 & Seniors - Not Sure What Skis To Bring?

Check the ticker on the homepage of the website. While conditions may influence the ski choice or changes, we will work to provide this information with as much advance notice as possible.

Putting the Fun in Fundraising with Wine Survivor

Each year the WSRC hosts several fundraisers to help support the costs of managing the program while delivering excellent coaching to your young athletes. Wine Survivor was a hit last year, so we’re doing it again!

  • The deadline to enter is this Monday, January 18th at 6PM.
  • The cost is $25 per entry with $15 going towards NSLC Gift Cards and $10 WSRC fundraising.

For the complete rules on how to enter and play, check out this link.

Huge thanks to Kate Lovett, our Volunteer Coordinator and fantastic Wine Survivor Host, for spearheading this year’s initiative.

Optional Training Opportunities Thursday, Friday and Monday

To make it easier for parents and coaches to plan for optional training opportunities, we are moving the deadline for registration to earlier in the week.

  • U12 - Senior Teams - Thursday - 8:45 AM - 3:00 PM
  • U12 - Senior Teams - Friday - 8:45 AM - 3:00 PM

Deadline: Monday at midnight of the same week, confirmation will be sent Tuesday

  • U10 (second year only) - Next Monday - 9:30AM - 2:30PM

Deadline: Wednesday at midnight of the preceding week, confirmation will be sent Thursday

Stay tuned for launch of the registration forms for our next opportunity.

Slingshot Postponed to Sunday, March 7th

The annual WSRC Slingshot race will be moved to March in hopes more athletes will be able to participate. This is a fun focused team event for U6 - U10 athletes, while U12 athletes have the opportunity to compete for individual medals.
Saturday only athletes will be welcomed to participate as well.

Mark your calendars - we hope to see you there.

Ducky’s Etiquette - COVID-19 Style

We know a highlight of a long day at the hill is often a visit to Ducky’s. Please be sure that you and your athletes are aware of the protocol that must be followed to enjoy Ducky’s.
Especially:

  • Enter and exit Duckys’ via the deck.
  • Arrive with the group you are sitting with - no later joiners or extra people at the table.
  • Your hostess will need to escort you to your table.
  • If your child needs to see you, there is one chance only - no running in and out.
  • For the full list of protocols for Ducky’s please read Ski Wentworth’s Etiquette Guide.

Holiday Practice Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds from cancelled Holiday practices have all been sent through e-transfer this week.  Please check your folders and if you have any questions reach out to Christine, registrar@wentworthracing.com
