Notice of Special Meeting of WSRC Club Membership to vote on New Clubhouse Inititative
In accordance with Article 7c of the Wentworth Ski Racing Club (WSRC)Bylaws, WSRC President, Karen Dwyer, hereby issues notice of a Special Meeting of the Senior Members of WSRC.
Date: Monday, September 10th, 2018.
Time: 6:30pm
Place: 103 Thorne Ave, Dartmouth, NS
Purpose: Presentation of New Clubhouse Initiative and Membership Vote
In accordance with Article 7f of the WSRC bylaws, Senior Members of the Club in good standing and Honorary Life Members shall have voting rights at Club meetings.
In accordance with Article 5a of the WSRC bylaws, subsection i) a SENIOR MEMBER - any person participating as a skier in the program, volunteer of the program and/or parent of a child in the program who has attained the age of 18 on or before December 31st of the ski season, has paid their dues and has registered with ACA for that ski season.
Background: As announced by Past President, Dean Steinburg at the WSRC AGM on June 12th and further to the AGM summary & minutes e-mailed to the club on June 18th, a clubhouse subcommittee has worked on developing a plan for a new Clubhouse over the summer and presented to the WSRC Board of Directors (BoD). At the meeting, the Board of Directors passed a motion to present the New Clubhouse Proposal at a Special Meeting of the Senior Membership in order to hold a vote on whether to proceed with the plan.
Senior Members are invited to attend this meeting to hear more about how the Clubhouse will benefit Club Members and to vote on whether to proceed.
