AAA ROLAND BRUNNER RACE - TIME TO START PREPARING! (and we don't mean the athletes)

WSRC’s signature race event of the year is the Roland Brunner Memorial Cup.  Attracting 120+ athletes from across the Atlantic Provinces in the U14-U18 categories, it is the largest and only event in our region featuring three alpine events:   Slalom, GS and Super G.

This year, it is scheduled for February 23-25^th in Wentworth.  For anyone who witnessed this event last year, you'll recognize that it truly takes an army of dedicated volunteers to run a ski race event of this caliber.

We are currently looking to establish the race organizing committee and designates for all key roles.  This includes:

• Chief of Race (Brian Carter)

• Chief of Gates

• Chief of Timing

• Chief of Course / Course Crew / Equipment Management

• Technical Director

• Race Secretary

• Race Office Manager

• Hand Timers

• Finish Ref

• Starter

• Start Ref

• Timing Team

• Food Services Leads (2)

• Course Slipper Chief / Trainer

A preliminary planning meeting will be set for early January.  We want to ensure this year’s event gets off on the right foot with plenty of time left to prepare.
