1 - Dryland this Saturday, November 25th 1-4pm in Wentworth.
   
  • Thank you to Michelle and Bruce Young for hosting the parent & athlete apres dryland social, 4-5pm.
 
 
2 - Congratulations to WSRC Rising Stars Award Recipients, Emily Todd & Grant Keefe!
 
  • These two WSRC athletes were given 2 of 4 spots designated for Atlantic Canadian athletes to attend
 
  • The Rising Stars project is designed by Alpine Canada to give emerging U16 athletes an opportunity to immerse themselves in early season training while increasing their ski racing knowledge and building skills necessary to continue on the path to success.
 
  • The other athletes selected were Chris Rice of Farlagne and Macy Cudmore of PEI.Selection was based on athletes’ year-end total of all 3 discipline’s national points.
 
 
3 - Concussion Awareness and Baselining:  Monday March 27th
 
  • With the upcoming MSA training camps and the season almost upon us, WSRC has arranged an appointment time for baseline testing for concussion.
 
  • If you attended out Spring AGM, you may recall Karen Decker from ACCEL Physiotherapy came to speak to the membership about concussions and about the baseline testing procedure.
   
  • The WSRC group appointment is this Monday, November 27, 2017, from 7pm - 8pm or 8pm-9pm.
 
  • The clinic can accommodate 10 athletes during each time slot.The ACCEL clinic where the testing will take place is at 137 Venture Run, Suite 101 in Burnside.
   
 
4 - Parent Meetings

 
  • Parent meetings were held last week; thank you to those who attended.For those of you who missed it, you can review Gregor’s program presentation and touch base with him if you have any questions.

5 - Accommodation  -  New Page on Website
  • For ease of reference, club accommodation information for away races now has its own webpage under Race Notices on the top menu bar.

6 - Accommodation for U12+ Poley Race, Jan 20 & 21st
  • Fairway Inn Toll Free 1-800-565-2260
  • Rooms are reserved under Wentworth Ski Race Club at $107.00 per night based on maximum 2 adults and 2 children per room.
  • Hot breakfast is included.
  • Block of rooms will be released at 11:00om on Tuesday, December 19th.
  • Group Reservation Number: 067070.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance.
