Newsletter 13

1 - This Weekend:

• Last weekend of regular programs!

2 - Saturday, March 25^th, Club Championships:

• This is a Fun Race

• There is an award per age group

• All welcome - including Sunday-only athletes

• No additional race fee

• The race is a combined format.  Athletes will do one run of GS in the morning and one run of slalom in the afternoon.  The times will be combined and the athletes with the lowest times are the winners.

3 - Apres Ski - Year End Event

• 4-6 pm at the Wentworth Rec. Centre (13752 Hwy 4 – about 4km past ski hill).

• Athletes and families come and enjoy fun awards, slide show and lots of après ski munchies.

• Please send your 3-4 favorite pictures from the season to help our slide show coordinator Mark Oakley andmark.oakley78@yahoo.ca

• The cover charge is 1 appetizer per family!! 

• No chips or party-mix please – that will be provided.

• Cash bar only for kids' drinks and alcoholic beverages (no debit or credit)

• BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers for the kids.

• Plugs are available for crock pots, please bring your own extension cord.

2 - Karbon Orders

• Reminder that the order deadline is March 25^th!

3 - Club Jackets issued this Year

• We will need to collect the new Karbon jackets bought this past year in order to have sponsor patches put on before the start of next year.  Separate communication to follow on this.

4 - Elan photo

• Everyone with Elan skis is asked to be at the race shack at 11:30am Sunday morning for a group photo.

5 - Sunday - Fun Day for U10 & U12

• U14+ will be training

• Events include: relay races, speed contest, scavenger hunt.   Sunday-only athletes welcome.

• Prizes to follow in Duckie’s.  (2:30-3:30-ish)

• A few parents to help out and ensure everything runs smoothly would be great.  If interested, contact Karen at treasurer@wentworthracing.com
   

6 - Amqui U14 & U16 Race April 8/9

• Reminder to register by April 1^st.

7 - Additional Training Optional Days March 31 & April 1 / 2

• Although programs are over, if anyone prefers to train over the Splash Cup, please register.  We need to know by Wednesday March 29th.
   

8 - Spring Camp at MSA

• If interested, contact Gregor.

 9 - Mark your calendars! AGM Event Thursday June 15^th

• Special meeting to vote on bylaw amendments around structure of board

• Strategic planning follow-up from last year.
