Newsletter #4
 
1 – First, a big thank you to Erika Jones and Brad Englehart for hosting last weekend’s parent welcome apres ski social.  They went above and beyond and a great time was had by all who attended.
2 – Thank you as well to Wendy Malley for a lot of “cat herding” and taking photos of each group with their coach as well as the club photo last Sunday.  We will get these fantastic photos up on the website in the next few days.
3 –This weekend’s U12 & Up training is Saturday GS, Sunday SL.
4 – U14 & Up – we are still taking registrations through the website for the Crabbe Race the first weekend of February.  Deadline to register on our system is January 28^th.
5 – Next weekend is the first race event of the season at Wentworth – the U10 & U12 Slingshot Event:

• This is strictly a fun race and all WSRC U10 & U12 athletes are encouraged to participate. 
• You can register on the website. 
• The registration fee of $30 for WSRC athletes includes an event t-shirt and a barbecue lunch.
• The winner of the t-shirt contest will be revealed!
• We need volunteers for this event – a separate communication will follow.

6 –  The U10 & U12 PEI Race Event on Feb 18 & 19 is open for registration on the website.  Please register by February 9^th.
 
7 - Raffle tickets are available to be picked up!

• These will be available at lunch time in the lodge on Saturday and Sunday or at 2:30 pickup on Saturday.
• Please note these are being handed out in a sheet, cutting the separate tickets is by you.

8 – For anyone who missed the parent meetings last weekend or from a higher age group that would like to learn more about the volunteer program and how to earn your money back, we will have one more session at the Port Greville Room at 11am this Sunday.
