Dear WSRC Alumnus

Wentworth Ski Racing Club Alumni

Over the years, the Wentworth Ski Racing Club has provided a wonderful opportunity for young racers to develop and for their parents to enjoy the friendships that our club offers. Many people have helped the club become what it is today, and the current Board of the WSRC recognizes the hard work and commitment these families have made to ski racing in Nova Scotia.

For too long our members have become disengaged from the club when their children have finished skiing, which has meant that families that gave so much to ski racing at Wentworth no longer feel they are part of our club. In turn, the club has lost out on this wealth of experience. We would like to change this by bringing our former members back into the WSRC family.

As a result, the WSRC Board of Directors has struck an Alumni Committee to connect with our club's extensive family of former members. The mission of the Alumni Committee is to bring former members back into the club as alumni and to maintain lasting and supportive relationships among alumni and the rest of the club. The Alumni Committee will also act as a communication channel between alumni and the club's Board. I invite you get involved with the club again by joining our alumni group.

Helen Steeves has agreed to act as the Chair of this committee and is the contact person. Julie Ann Wilton, the Club Administrator, will help Helen with communication.

Alumni members will be full members of the club, with a special tabbed section on our website (www.wentworthracing.com). We will be charging a revenue-neutral membership fee of $ 20.00 per alumnus to cover Alpine Canada insurance costs and other expenses related to the alumni.

Please visit the "Alumni Background" tab under the ALUMNI tab on the website and you will find some preliminary ideas about the alumni initiative. On a separate tab, you will find a brief survey that I encourage you to fill out and return to Helen Steeves. The form is fillable; once completed, you can save the form and send it as an attachment to Helen at the above email address.
