Despite battling cold temperatures, major delays and snowy driving, the K1 Crabbe race last weekend was a huge success.

Nine athletes along with Dave and Shannon headed to New Brunswick for an awesome race.

Saturday was quite a long day, with almost a three hour delay and the cancellation of one GS race, but the athletes were positive and had a great time. It was cold but the warming shack at the top of Crabbe kept the athletes nice and warm and the wonderful parent volunteers had jackets ready at the bottom.

Sunday was a much better day for warmth and efficiency of the race. The athletes raced one 2-run race and one 1-run race.

We rolled out of the parking lot at 4pm with very wintery driving conditions and most still made it home in time to see the end of the Superbowl.
