WSRC Programs

The Wentworth Ski Racing Club runs programs for all levels including:

  • Snowstars (6 - 10 years)
  • K1 (11 -12 years)
  • K2 (13 - 14 years)
  • Senior Race Team & FIS (15+ years)

New Program Changes for 2011-12

Our program offerings will change for the upcoming season as follows:

Nancy Greene Race (NGR):

Nancy Greene Race will no longer be offered. The program was designed to challenge athletes in the 9-11 year age range, and enrolment was intended to be based on coach’s recommendation. The coaches will continue to organize Snow Stars athletes in skill-appropriate groups, and will identify those children who are ready for more challenge, but this will not be done within a separate program level.

Friday night training:

There will no longer be training on Friday nights for K- and J-level athletes in two-day programs. Registration fees have been adjusted to reflect this.

Friday training:

Over the past few years, we have offered training during the day on Fridays. This has been offered on a user-pay basis and was not included in the registration fee. We will continue to offer training on Fridays through the season. Further information on this training option will be forthcoming.

University racer:

The university racer program will no longer be a separate program, although senior racers (19 years and older) can continue to join our programs (see registration form).

Recreational Skier:

This year a non-competitive recreational skier option has been included in the program as noted on the registration form. This program is for athletes who will not be racing at all, but who wish to continue their skill development and training with the club. Recreational skiers will pay less than racers of the same age group, which reflects the difference in ACA fees. Recreational skiers can be in a one- or two-day program at the K1 level, but only in a two-day program from K2 through J.

Specific program details can be found under the 'Programs' tab of this website.
