 J1 & J2 Program

The J1 and J2 program and race series  is for athletes aged 15 – 19.

Alpine Integration Model - Train to Train/Train to Win

At this age, the athlete is in the Train to Compete stage (ages 15-19 males, 15-17 females)  or the Train to Win stage (ages 19 + for males, 17 + females) of the Alpine Integration Model (AIM) approved by Alpine Canada Alpin.

The train to compete phase aims to provide high intensity and specific training all year round. It aims to teach skiers to compete under a variety of competition conditions by exposing them to all competitive conditions during training and selected competitions. The athletes maximize competition simulation by modeling training and competition activities. Finally the athletes’ program should be integrated with sport medicine and science programs.

The train to win phase focuses on high performance sport and peaking for major competitions or series. The athletes maintain established physical, technical and tactical capacities with optimum regeneration and recovery programs. There are daily and weekly monitoring sessions to establish the adaptation to training and fatigue levels. Ancillary capacities, fitness programs, mental management and technical and tactical capacities are fully individualized
